Once I have your main reference photos, I will produce some digital mockups of how I'd suggest composing the piece, we choose the best one together, and then I start painting.

This is a collaborative process, so it is a constant conversation, sending update photos throughout.

Pricing

Standard pricing is based on a head/neck portrait on a plain white background.

The addition of any extra details that will take additional time and skill will be priced on a case by case basis, ie. Rosettes, as these can differ every time regarding complexity and quantity.

Deposit

25% deposit is required at the point of agreeing the commission and being entered into the diary. You have a 7 day cooling off period to receive a full refund, after which the deposit is non-refundable. Balance is payable on completion of the portrait.

Every commission includes a consultation where we discuss the photos you'd like me to work from, and therefore what size and shape of painting would suit. Each painting is then priced to reflect the complexity of the piece.

As the size of paintings increase, mounting and postage costs rise exponentially which is factored in to the cost quoted to you. If local collection/delivery around Bristol is possible, I'd love to hand you your painting personally and take away that cost.

Reference Photos

The better the photo, the better the painting

I work from photos provided by the customer, with one main photo as the composition of the piece, along with supporting photos if required.

Backgrounds

I can add backgrounds to pieces, from simple to more detailed. There is an additional cost for these, noted below. Complex backgrounds must be from the reference photo, to ensure it looks cohesive.

Once It's Complete

I will ask if you are happy with the final piece, and offer the opportunity for any final small changes.

Once we are both happy with it, I will protect it with a gloss varnish that will prevent UV damage over time.

I will then professionally mount it in within a 'Snow White' photo mount and backing board, unless you state otherwise that you would prefer to sort out your own mounting. It is then ready to frame once you receive it.

The remainder of payment is now due (25% deposit having already been paid at time of commission).

I will package it up lovingly, and send it to any address in the UK, through insured tracked delivery. For international delivery please get in contact and discuss this at the time of commission.
